Apa yang Bisa Dilakukan Seni? Konferensi kecil bersama Eloise Maree dan Performance Klub 

Seniman Australia Eloise Maree dan Iwan Wijono, seniman dan Direktur Performance klub, akan berbicara tentang karya-karya mereka dan kelompoknya, dan bersama-sama mendiskusikan pertanyaan “apa yang bisa dilakukan seni”. Eloise juga akan mendiskusikan persiapan bagi residensinya di Indonesia bersama Performance Klub.

Eloise Maree adalah performer dan dramawan yang berkarya di Brisbane dan Melbourne. Dia juga Direktur Artistik Cradle Productions [sick theatre for sick people], yang bertujuan menciptakan teater kaum muda dalam ruang-ruang inkonvensional – dalam pengertian fisik, idologis, maupun filosofis. What Can Art Do? A Mini Conference with Eloise Maree and Performance Klub

Indonesian group, Performance Klub and Australian artist, Eloise Maree (Cradle Productions) will hold a mini-conference discussing ‘What Can Art Do?’. Iwan Wijono, director of Performance Klub, will talk about his group’s work. Performance Klub is a Yogyakarta-based performance and social art organisation who have worked internationally. Eloise will talk about the work she has done in Australia, including ‘Spark’ which uses conversation to encourage social change and site-specific theatre set in old buildings and alleyways. At the end of the conference, there will be a discussion around What Art Can Do? Eloise will also discuss setting up a residency in Indonesia with Performance Klub.

Performer and playwright Eloise Maree has worked in live art, performance and theatre on Brisbane and Melbourne stages over the past few years. She is also acting Artistic Director of Cradle Productions [sick theatre for sick people], aiming to create youth-driven theatre in unconventional spaces – whether this be physically, ideologically or philosophically.
